The dates for the 2017 event are February 7 – 9 in St. Augustine, Florida. This conference will adopt FirstSource’s highly productive meetings format, which combines product presentations, industry seminars, and product samplings with a unique 1-on-1 Buyer-Supplier Exchange.

Steve Petusevsky. Author of the Whole Foods Market Cookbook will open the morning educational session program with his presentation entitled “A Blueprint for Adding the Grocerant Experience to your Deli.” Chef Steve will help retailers identify their potential to create something unique, while understanding core elements that must be baked into a successful grocerant. An outline will be offered on all the considerations that go into this decision and some of the results will be visually offered from actual retail Grocerant operations that Chef Petusevsky has placed into chains both large and small including; Whole Foods Market, Marianos, Roundys, Google, Lettuce Entertain You, Luckys Markets and others. Retailer attendees will understand the importance of creating a food mission, menuing for the shopper and the banner, training and culture, and the metrics to measure results.

Other industry luminaries on the 2017 event lineup include: Colleen McLellan, Director, Datassential who will speak on “Capturing Your Share of Prepared Food Sales,” Laura Werlin, Cheese Author & Educator, covering “Everything You Need to Know About the New American Cheese,” and Emilio Mignucci, Vice President DiBruno Brothers, who will moderate a panel on “Discovering the Old: Artisan Charcuterie in America.”
